Professional promotions company had a broken system
The Problem…
Joe Hand Promotions promotes and manages events for the UFC, WWE and boxing events that involve 5-10,000 locations per event. Their old system was an Access database unable to handle their growth and was freezing and crashing. Furthermore, the backup system they had required putting in a tape to back up their information and sometimes they forgot to do this. Upon inspecting the tape drive we found it wasn’t even working when they were doing it.
The Solution…
- Egress staff rebuilt the database in SQL with a web front end and this enabled them to access their information securely with a password outside the office. This enabled their sales people to work from home for small events instead of coming into the office which increased moral.
- Online payment processing was installed on the website so customers could pay online whenever they wanted to which increased customer satisfaction.
- Installed an automatic backup system that created two copies of their information and stored it in two different locations.
- We were able to redesign their post card and poster marketing to reduce their printing costs per event.
- Company has grown by at least 20% and this year the goal is to double the size of the company by expanding into previously untouched markets.
